Dancing on the Edge festival of contemporary dance has been a mainstay of the Vancouver dance scene for 27 years.  It presented moments of artistic brilliance and brilliance in progress, showing the different facets through which dance shines.

10th Anniversary Celebration – MOVE: the company

The Vancouver Playhouse, Vancouver – July 2, 2015

The festival welcomed the return of Joshua Beamish – dancer, choreographer and founding director of MOVE: the company of Vancouver.  Beamish invited dancers to perform in four of his recent duets, and also performed a solo of his own choreography, called Adoration.

The evening presented the following works:

Pierced – Joshua Reynolds (The Royal Winnipeg Ballet) and Jo-Ann Sundermeier (The Royal Winnipeg Ballet)

Burrow – Nicol Edmunds (The Royal Ballet) and Matthew Ball (The Royal Ballet)

Stay – Jedidiah Duifhuis (Ballet Kelowna) and Cristina Graziano (Ballet Jörgen)

The Other People In Your Party – Heather Dotto and Cai Glover, two founding members of MOVE: the company

BodyTalk – Wen Wei Community Dancers
