Joyce Theater, New York City – October 14 & 16, 2015
The José Limón International Dance Festival celebrated choreographer José Limón with a presentation of fourteen of his works at the Joyce Theater in New York City. A formative contributor to American modern dance, Limón’s influence is prevalent throughout today’s dance aesthetic. His sense of drama celebrates the bravado and subtleties of the human spirit.
Works presented in the first two programs were:
Mazurkas
The Moor’s Pavane
Missa Brevis
The Unsung
The Winged
